Paris Saint-Germain new head-coach Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly determined to secure services of Manchester United playmaker Paul Pogba to the French champions during the upcoming summer transfer window.
France international star has played his way back into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting lineup in the recent weeks, however, the 27-year-old is widely expected to depart from Old Trafford at the end of the current campaign.
Real Madrid and Juventus have long been regarded as the frountrunners for the France international, who has just 18 months left on his current deal with the 20-times English champions.
However, according to the Daily Star, PSG are firmly in the race, with new appointed manager, Pochettino identifying the World Cup winner as the ideal player to build his team around.
The report suggests that the Red Devils demand £75m for Pogba despite the midfielder’s agent Mino Raiola claiming on a number of occasions that his client is determined to depart from Old Trafford in the nearby future.
The former Juventus midfielder has found back of the net twice and provided three assists in 21 games for the 20-time English champions during the 2020-21 season.
