Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard is reportedly a loan target for Serie A giants, Inter Milan.
The 28-year-old was named in the starting lineup for the Red Devils recent FA Cup clash with Watford on Saturday night, playing 80 minutes of his side’s 1-0 win over the Championship club.
The Englishman has not been handed a single minute of football in the English top-tier though, and his current contract at Old Trafford is set to expire in the summer of 2022.
According to The Mirror, Inter Milan head-coach, Antonio Conte ‘is an admirer’ of the 28-year-old versatile attacker, and the ex-Chelsea manager wants to bring him at San Siro on a season-long loan deal with an option to make his move permanent.
The report, though, suggests that the Italian giants will only be able to sanction a move for 28-year-old midfielder if they manage to offload Christian Eriksen, who has struggled to settle since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur.
Inter Milan have recently signed both Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young from the Red Devils, and Conte allegedly believes that the acquisition of Lingard would boost his team’s chances to compete fro the Serie A trophy.
