Mourinho states that he won everything within his ability at Man. Utd
The former Manchester United and current Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has announced that he was able to secure all trophies within his reach for the Red Devils. The Portuguese made this known in a press conference he had before Tottenham’s match against his former club on Sunday.
Mourinho was in charge of Man. United for two and a half seasons and during this period, he was able to bring some silverware home for the club. He won the Europa League and Carabao Cup in the 2016-17 season and also the Community Shield before the commencement of the 2016-17 Premier League tournament.
He wasn’t just able to secure other notable trophies for the club such as the Champions League, Premier League, and the FA cup before being sacked and replaced by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer in 2018. Nevertheless, records have it that trophies were added to the Man. United cabinet during the Portuguese tenure as the club’s manager.
In his statement to the press, he said: “The fans, they know that I gave everything I could,
“I won what was possible to win, I didn’t win what was not possible to win. I gave my everything, T gave my life to the club and my professionalism, like I always do.”
As regards Tottenham’s Old Trafford game on Sunday, Mourinho disclosed that is Sunday’s journey to Old Trafford isn’t revenge-based. In response to a question directed to him about Spurs dishing out revenge on Man. United, he answered: “Revenge? T won so many times at Old Trafford as Manchester United’s coach and as an opponent coach. Revenge for what? Nobody treated me badly there, everyone was nice to me.”
He disclosed that Man. United would want to play to win the game and his team would also be doing the same.
